Welcome!

Enjoy a great day's drive though the rainforests, open woodlands and spectactular scenery of the Girringun National Park.

Along the way stop at a variety of lookout and monuments, take a break for a picnic beside Yaccabine Creek.

Drive through the twin Juberin Waterfalls which are significant to the Girramay Aboriginal People. The water cascades down a steep rock face onto the road surface and then continues down the steep rock face below.

Where else can you drive through a waterfall?

Paradise Kingfishers, Fig Parrots, Crimson Rosellas, King Parrots and Wedgetail Eagles - A Bird Lovers Paradise.

Keep a count of the many Scrub Turkeys you will see.

A memory to behold when the elusive Lumholtz Tree Kangaroo pokes his head out of the forest.

Remember the men and women who toiled with bare hands, picks and shovels to complete this engineering feat of the 1930's. See their hard work still visible in the stone pitched walls scattered along the road.

Stop at the Society Flats Boardwalk and view the gigantic Kauri Pines.

Appreciate the towering Gum, Maple, Red Cedar, Walnut and Mahogany Trees standing tall and proud in this World Heritage Area.

The 52 km trek finishes at the amazing Blencoe Falls, enjoy a picnic overlooking the junction of the Herbert River and Blencoe Creek.

Take a walk from the Falls back to the Blencoe Creek Camping Area.

Whether you visit for a day or stay a few, make the time to enjoy this magnificent part of the world hidden in our back yard.
